Emaar Properties Assures Funds for Emaar Development Buyout
Emaar Properties has officially confirmed that it possesses the necessary financial resources to fulfill its voluntary cash offer for Emaar Development shareholders. Currently holding an 80.16% stake in the subsidiary, Emaar is seeking to acquire the remaining 19.84% of shares at a price of Dh15 each. This strategic move, detailed in an offer document published on the Dubai Financial Market, aims to consolidate ownership, with the developer prepared to proceed with the acquisition even if the 90% threshold for compulsory takeover is not met.
The offer period is currently underway, having opened on November 6 and set to conclude on December 10, with results expected the following day. Should the deal proceed, Emaar has signaled its intention to potentially convert Emaar Development into a private joint-stock company and delist it from the stock exchange. This financial maneuvering comes on the heels of a strong fiscal performance for Emaar Properties, which recently reported a 13% revenue increase to Dh37.5 billion for the first nine months of 2026, bolstered by robust construction progress and consistent growth across its diverse business segments.
