Abu Dhabi’s Real Estate Market Records Massive Growth in 2026
The Abu Dhabi property sector has experienced an extraordinary boom, with total transactions soaring to Dh171.26 billion during the first nine months of 2026. Data from the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (Adrec) highlights a 76.1 per cent jump in value compared to the previous year, supported by a significant rise in both sales and mortgage activity. Property sales alone accounted for Dh119.33 billion of this total, signaling a robust appetite for ownership, while mortgage transactions grew by 30.2 per cent to reach Dh45.92 billion.
International interest has played a pivotal role in this expansion, with foreign investment in local zones climbing 131 per cent to reach Dh86.11 billion. Investors from 121 countries, particularly those from the UK, China, and Russia, are flocking to the emirate, underscoring a strong long-term confidence in Abu Dhabi’s development. Key areas like Al Reem Island and Al Hudayriyat Island have emerged as top investment hotspots, and with the registration of dozens of new development projects, the market remains on a strong trajectory for sustained growth through 2030.
