Dubai Reinforces Status as Global Logistics Hub with New Jafza Facility

Wed, Aug 5, 2026(45d ago)Business

Dubai is further cementing its status as a vital global logistics gateway as SUMEA, a major international supply chain group, launches its new 12,000 sqm trade hub, SUMEAWORLD, in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza). Despite the unpredictability of regional geopolitical landscapes, the emirate continues to attract significant long-term investments from firms looking to streamline their sourcing, warehousing, and distribution. By establishing its regional headquarters and a central logistics platform in Jafza with a 20-year commitment, SUMEA is positioning itself to better serve over 75 countries, connecting manufacturing powerhouses in Asia with burgeoning consumer markets across Africa and the Middle East.

This expansion marks a pivotal milestone for SUMEA, which has evolved from its origins in the Republic of Congo into a sophisticated global supply chain player. The new hub integrates a vast array of goods—ranging from industrial equipment and building materials to consumer electronics—under one roof, offering partners a more efficient way to manage their distribution networks. Jafza leadership has welcomed the move, noting that such long-term commitments bolster the resilience of Dubai’s trade ecosystem. By bridging its presence in Dubai with existing operations in Singapore and China, SUMEA is effectively creating a more agile and interconnected network, ready to scale alongside the growing demand for infrastructure and retail goods across Africa.
