ADNOC Gas Inks Major Five-Year LNG Supply Deal with TotalEnergies

Tue, Nov 3, 2026(1h ago)Business

The United Arab Emirates’ ADNOC Gas has officially entered into a strategic five-year agreement to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the French energy powerhouse, TotalEnergies. Under the terms of the deal, the Emirati state firm is set to deliver up to 1.6 million tonnes of LNG, with TotalEnergies anticipating the inaugural shipments to reach them before the end of the year. ADNOC Gas CEO Fatema Al Nuaimi highlighted that this partnership aligns with the company’s broader strategy to meet the rising global demand for energy resources.

This agreement comes at a critical juncture as Europe faces a tightening energy market. Recent data from the International Energy Agency indicates that the continent is heading into the winter season with its smallest natural gas reserves recorded since 2013. With storage levels hovering at 75 percent—falling short of the European Union’s 80 percent target—this new supply arrangement serves as a vital effort to bolster energy security during a period of significant regional scarcity.
