Dubai Sets Ambitious Goal to Become a Global AI Hub by 2030
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has unveiled an ambitious new roadmap for the Dubai AI Campus, aiming to attract over 1,000 artificial intelligence firms and generate more than 5,000 specialized jobs by 2030. This announcement, made during the third Dubai AI Festival, highlights the emirate’s rapid momentum in the sector; notably, the campus has already surpassed its original 2028 targets, securing over Dh1 billion in investment and supporting more than 500 companies in just a few months.
To support this growth, plans for a new 100,000-square-foot facility in the DIFC Zabeel District are already underway. This purpose-built space will serve as a hub for innovation, featuring advanced AI laboratories, secure development zones, and an interactive Experience Centre designed to showcase real-world technological applications. By fostering collaboration between government entities, global tech giants, and local startups, Dubai is cementing its status as a leading environment where cutting-edge AI research is translated into sustainable economic value.
