Dubai’s Summer Mallathon Returns: Staying Active Indoors

Thu, Jun 18, 2026(45d ago)UAE

The Dubai Mallathon has officially returned, transforming some of the city’s largest shopping centers into massive, air-conditioned tracks to help residents stay fit during the sweltering summer months. Running through September 15, the initiative invites participants to visit six major locations—including Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and Dubai Hills Mall—between 6am and 10am. With expert coaches leading warm-up sessions and dedicated tracks for families, senior citizens, and people of determination, the event has become a community staple. It is completely free to join, and participants simply need to pick up a wristband upon arrival, which also unlocks various store discounts and restaurant offers.

The event, organized alongside the Dubai Sports Council, has been praised for its inclusivity and convenience, offering a much-needed alternative to outdoor workouts during the heat. Whether it is families pushing strollers, competitive runners logging 21-km sessions, or individuals looking to socialize, the Mallathon caters to all fitness levels. Attendees have shared glowing reviews, highlighting the well-marked paths, the camaraderie among participants, and the flexibility of the morning window. By blending exercise with a comfortable, accessible environment, the Mallathon continues to prove that summer heat doesn't have to be a barrier to achieving personal health and fitness goals.
