Sharjah Residents Report Exceptional Levels of Security in 2025
A recent survey conducted by the Department of Statistics and Community Development has highlighted a remarkable sense of security among those living in Sharjah, with 99.7% of residents reporting that they feel safe in the emirate. This high level of public confidence is mirrored by a 99% trust rating in the police force’s ability to maintain order. Whether walking alone at night, relaxing at home, or navigating daily life, the vast majority of the population feels secure, reflecting the effectiveness of local law enforcement in both crime prevention and rapid emergency response.
Beyond standard safety metrics, the community also expressed strong satisfaction with the broader social impact of the Sharjah Police. Initiatives supporting the elderly, people of determination, and environmental safety programs all received approval ratings of 98% or higher. Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, credited these results to a collaborative partnership between the authorities and the public. Moving forward, the department remains committed to evolving its security infrastructure in alignment with the "We the UAE 2031" vision, ensuring the nation continues to be recognized as one of the safest places in the world.
