The defendant eventually confessed to consuming the drugs prior to getting behind the wheel and admitted that the substances were for personal use. In its final ruling, the court found the evidence, including his confession and the lab results, to be conclusive. Consequently, the judge consolidated the chargesāranging from drug possession to negligent property damageāand issued a sentence that includes imprisonment, a fine, and a three-month suspension of his driving privileges.
