Unstable Weather Persists: UAE Issues Alerts as Rain Enters Third Day

Wed, Aug 5, 2026(45d ago)UAE

For the third day in a row, the UAE is experiencing unsettled weather, prompting the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) to issue fresh orange and yellow alerts. The unstable conditions are particularly focused on the southern regions, with forecasters anticipating convective cloud formations near Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Fujairah. These alerts are scheduled to remain active until late Wednesday night, signaling a continued period of wet weather that began earlier this week.

Authorities are strongly urging residents to prioritize safety, especially those planning to travel through the affected areas. With the Ministry of Interior previously warning of limited visibility and potential flash flooding, drivers are encouraged to exercise extra caution on the roads. Abu Dhabi officials have also provided a safety handbook, recommending that the public steer clear of valleys or areas prone to water pooling and adhere strictly to local weather guidance until the systems pass on Friday.
