Sheikh Hamdan Pays Tribute to Fallen UAE Servicemen
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence, recently visited the mourning majlises in Al Ain to offer his deepest condolences to the families of Major Abdullah Shamis Al Menhali and Officer Cadet Saeed Abdullah Al Shamsi. The two servicemen tragically lost their lives during a routine training mission within the UAE. During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan shared in the families' grief, praying for the martyrs to be granted peace in Paradise and for their loved ones to find strength and patience during this incredibly difficult time.
The loss of the two servicemen, which was officially confirmed by the UAE Ministry of Defence earlier this week, has resonated across the region. A solemn military funeral was held at Zayed Military Hospital, attended by senior officials, military leadership, and the families of the deceased. In a show of solidarity, neighboring nations including Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan have also extended their heartfelt sympathies to the UAE, standing with the country as it honors the sacrifice of these fallen soldiers. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, also paid his respects to the bereaved families on Wednesday.
