Emirates Boosts Dubai’s Appeal as a Global Education Hub with New Student Perks

Thu, Sep 17, 2026(1h ago)UAE

Emirates has joined forces with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) to transform Dubai into a premier global destination for higher education. Through this strategic partnership, students enrolled in KHDA-regulated private institutions will enjoy exclusive travel perks, including discounted fares, generous baggage allowances, and increased booking flexibility. These benefits extend beyond the student body, with the Emirates Academic Programme offering specialized support for teaching staff and faculty, alongside dedicated travel arrangements for recipients of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Scholarship. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s ambitious Education 33 (E33) strategy, which aims to position the city among the world's top ten student hubs and significantly boost the international student population over the next decade.

To further broaden its reach, Emirates has also inked a deal with the International Consultants for Exhibitions and Fairs (ICEF), becoming the preferred airline partner for the organization's vast global network. By collaborating with ICEF, the airline plans to develop customized travel solutions for accredited agencies and their students across more than 100 countries. This partnership includes co-branded marketing campaigns and active participation in international education forums, ensuring Dubai remains at the forefront of the academic landscape. By integrating travel infrastructure with educational recruitment efforts, Emirates is playing a pivotal role in driving the city's goal of becoming a thriving "City of Students."
