Dubai Prepares for Eid Al Adha: 937 Mosques Ready for Morning Prayers
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has finalized preparations to host Eid Al Adha prayers across 937 mosques throughout the emirate. Scheduled for 5:45 am on Wednesday, May 27, these venues have undergone comprehensive upgrades to ensure a peaceful and secure experience for all worshippers. A special highlight this year includes the involvement of young participants from the ‘Mu’adhin Al Freej’ initiative, who will lead the Eid takbeerat and the call to prayer, fostering a sense of community while encouraging the younger generation to embrace Emirati heritage and religious traditions.
To ensure a smooth experience, the authorities are encouraging residents to arrive at their local mosques early and cooperate with organizers to manage traffic and site accessibility effectively. Official platforms have provided updated lists of approved prayer locations for the public. Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director-General of IACAD, emphasized that these efforts reflect Dubai’s dedication to supporting the community’s spiritual needs while promoting the core values of compassion and unity that define the UAE during this sacred occasion.
