Saudi Arabia Recalls NURSH Baby Bottles Due to Choking Hazards
Saudi Arabian authorities have issued a formal recall for 22 units of the NURSH 8oz Reusable Baby Bottles (Product No. B11654) due to a critical safety concern. The Ministry of Commerce identified that the bottle's external plastic shell is prone to peeling or detaching during use. This defect creates small, loose fragments that could be easily swallowed by infants, presenting a significant choking hazard. Owners of these specific bottles are advised to stop using them immediately and reach out to the manufacturer to coordinate a full refund or a product replacement.
This recent safety alert joins a string of similar product warnings in the Kingdom, reflecting a heightened focus on infant safety. Earlier this year, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) issued a precaution regarding specific batches of Aptamil and Bebelac infant formulas from Nutricia-Danone. That move was prompted by concerns over possible contamination with Cereulide, a toxin linked to Bacillus cereus bacteria. While both the bottle and formula alerts differ in nature, they highlight the rigorous oversight being applied to child-related products to protect vulnerable consumers.
