While international monitors at the German Research Centre for Geosciences recorded the event slightly lower at a 5.4 magnitude, both agencies confirmed the quake struck at a depth of about 10 kilometers.

Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of injuries or significant property damage resulting from the activity. In a precautionary move, the Egyptian Red Crescent activated its emergency response protocols across the affected governorates.
