Tragedy in Florida: Nine Die in Learjet Crash Near Mar-a-Lago
A devastating plane crash occurred in Palm Beach County, Florida, this past Sunday, claiming the lives of all nine individuals on board a Learjet 60. The aircraft, which was traveling from Austin, Texas, toward the Bahamas, plummeted into a neighborhood near Cresthaven. Eyewitness footage circulating on social media captured the terrifying final moments of the flight, showing the jet descending at a near-vertical angle before striking the ground and erupting into a massive fireball just feet from a busy road.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed the fatalities, labeling the event a horrific tragedy. The crash site is located less than seven miles from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Interestingly, the former president had departed from the nearby international airport shortly before the incident occurred amid stormy weather conditions. Both the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have launched a formal investigation to determine the cause of the disaster.
