Abu Dhabi Chamber Launches "Procurement Connect" to Empower SMEs

Fri, Jun 26, 2026(11h ago)Business

To bolster the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has officially launched "Procurement Connect." This strategic initiative is designed to bridge the gap between local businesses and the emirate’s leading organizations by providing clearer visibility into upcoming supply chain requirements and procurement plans. By fostering direct communication between industry giants and private sector firms, the Chamber aims to help SMEs enhance their competitiveness and better align their services with the future demands of Abu Dhabi’s evolving market.

During the launch forum, major industry players like Etihad Airways, e& UAE, and Adnoc shared vital insights into their long-term procurement priorities and supplier expectations. For instance, e& UAE highlighted its focus on digital transformation and AI-driven infrastructure, while Adnoc showcased the continued success of its In-Country Value (ICV) program, which has contributed hundreds of billions of dirhams to the local economy. These industry leaders are increasingly prioritizing local partnerships, creating a clear pathway for smaller companies to secure high-value contracts and contribute to the nation’s industrial resilience and economic vision.
