Etihad Airways Resumes Abu Dhabi-Jeddah Flights Amid Regional Disruptions
Etihad Airways has officially reinstated its daily flight operations between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah as of Friday, November 6. While this route is returning to service, the UAEâs national carrier has confirmed that travel to Riyadh and Dammam will remain suspended until at least November 19 due to the ongoing instability in the region. Passengers booked on the resumed Jeddah flights should note that specific services, including flights EY601, EY602, EY603, and EY604, are currently active, and the airline advises travelers to verify their flight status on the official website before heading to the airport.
Given the fluid nature of the current security situation, Etihad has cautioned that further adjustments to the flight schedule could occur with little notice. The airline has expressed regret for the disruption and confirmed that support teams are actively assisting impacted travelers with alternative arrangements. Meanwhile, other regional carriers like flydubai have also begun updating their schedules, with services to Dammam, Abha, and Riyadh gradually coming back online throughout November, following widespread flight cancellations sparked by recent security threats in the region.
