Lulu Retail Reports Strong Q3 Growth Driven by Digital Expansion

Fri, Nov 6, 2026(1h ago)Business

Lulu Retail Holdings has posted a steady performance for the third quarter of 2026, with revenue climbing 2% year-on-year to reach $1.9 billion. Despite a challenging economic climate where consumer spending remains somewhat cautious, the company successfully bolstered its bottom line through a mix of strategic store openings and a massive surge in its digital operations. Online sales were a particular highlight, jumping 53% compared to last year and now making up nearly 10% of the retailer's total revenue. This shift was fueled by the brand's revamped mobile app—which now boasts over a million monthly active users—and a significant increase in the number of stores equipped to handle online orders.

Beyond the digital landscape, Lulu continues to aggressively expand its physical footprint, having opened five new stores across the GCC this quarter alone. Looking ahead, the company has mapped out a development strategy through 2031 that leans heavily into smaller-format Express and Mini Market outlets across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While CEO Saifee Rupawala noted that the retail environment remains sensitive to rising input costs and tighter margins, the firm’s disciplined approach to managing operating expenses and its focus on supply chain resilience have kept profitability stable. With 10 million members now enrolled in its "Happiness" loyalty program, Lulu remains committed to leveraging AI and infrastructure investments to sustain its upward momentum.
