Flyadeal Expands India Footprint with New Mumbai-Riyadh Route

Mon, Aug 10, 2026(3h ago)Business

Saudi Arabia’s budget airline, flyadeal, is set to strengthen its international presence by launching direct flights between Riyadh and Mumbai starting October 3, 2026. This move follows the carrier’s successful entry into the Indian market earlier this year with the launch of its Hyderabad route. By utilizing its modern A320neo fleet, the airline plans to run five weekly round-trip flights, effectively adding over 7,400 monthly seats to meet the growing demand for travel between these two major commercial hubs.

Sanjeev Kapoor, Acting CEO of flyadeal, emphasized that India remains a cornerstone of the airline’s broader international growth strategy. Beyond direct point-to-point travel, the new route is designed to offer seamless connections to other Saudi cities, including Jeddah, Madinah, and Dammam, catering to both business professionals and those traveling for religious pilgrimages like Umrah and Hajj. As the sister airline to Saudia, flyadeal is aggressively pursuing its goal of doubling its fleet and network capacity by 2030, reinforcing its status as a rapidly evolving player in the Middle Eastern aviation market.
