UAE Launches Second Retail Sukuk Offering with 5.06% Return

Wed, Sep 23, 2026(1d ago)Business

The UAE Ministry of Finance has officially announced the second phase of its Sovereign Retail T-Sukuk program, offering investors an attractive annual profit rate of 5.06%. Starting September 23, UAE nationals and residents can subscribe to this five-year, Shariah-compliant investment instrument, which aims to raise Dh50 million. Designed to foster a culture of domestic savings and expand capital market participation, the subscription window remains open until September 28. Investors can easily participate via various digital platforms, including the DFM eIPO portal and the iVestor app, with a modest minimum entry requirement of just Dh1,000.

This initiative follows the notable success of the government’s inaugural retail offering, reflecting a growing public appetite for secure, sovereign-backed financial products. According to Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, this program is a vital part of the nation’s strategy to strengthen its investment ecosystem and provide citizens with transparent, accessible financial planning tools. Once the allocation process is finalized on September 29, the sukuk is expected to debut on Nasdaq Dubai on October 1. With semi-annual profit distributions and the support of several leading local banks, the government continues to solidify the UAE’s reputation as a premier global hub for Islamic finance.
