This ambitious development remains strictly on schedule to begin operations by 2032. Looking ahead, authorities have announced that an additional Dh55 billion in contracts is slated for tender in the coming phase, signaling the next major push in the airport's long-term master plan.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, emphasized that this project is a cornerstone of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). By bolstering the city’s logistics infrastructure and aviation capacity, the airport is set to become a vital hub for global trade.
