UAE Extends Urgent Humanitarian Aid to Philippine Earthquake Survivors
The United Arab Emirates has stepped up its humanitarian efforts to assist those reeling from the recent earthquake in the Philippines' Sarangani Province. Led by UAE Ambassador to the Philippines, Mohamed Obaid Salem Al Qatam Alzaabi, a dedicated response team worked closely with local officials to deliver essential supplies. This initial relief mission successfully distributed 700 food parcels and 500 gallons of clean drinking water to families struggling in the aftermath of the disaster.
Beyond this immediate support, the UAE has outlined a broader recovery plan aimed at long-term relief. The initiative intends to deliver over 20,000 food parcels and 20,000 gallons of water to the hardest-hit regions. To ensure these resources are allocated effectively, aid teams have been conducting site visits to evaluate the specific needs of local residents. This ongoing effort highlights the UAE’s steadfast dedication to international solidarity and its commitment to providing vital assistance to communities facing natural catastrophes across the globe.
