Dubai Ride Transforms Sheikh Zayed Road into a Vibrant Costume Carnival
Sheikh Zayed Road recently transformed into a massive, colorful cycle track as thousands of participants took to the pavement, not just to ride, but to showcase their creativity. This year’s Dubai Ride introduced competitive categories with prizes reaching Dh10,000 for the best bike, creative themes, and standout family or group costumes. The atmosphere was electric, with the highway filled with everything from superheroes like Iron Man and Superman to whimsical sunflowers and sea urchins, all turning the event into a massive, mobile parade.
Among the participants, Filipina expat Shiela Labilles captured hearts with a deeply personal display. Spending her only day off decorating her bike, she attached a poignant tribute to the UAE, featuring symbols of her journey as a single mother who used the country’s opportunities to support her children back home. Meanwhile, other riders like Rina and Camille traveled all the way from Al Ain to join the festivities, embracing the playful spirit with Halloween-inspired outfits. Whether they were honoring their personal histories or simply having fun, the riders turned the iconic SZR into a stage for unity and celebration.
