Indian Embassy in UAE Pauses Consular Services Ahead of Provider Switch
Starting July 1, 2026, the Indian Embassy in the UAE will transition its consular service operations—including passport, visa, and attestation processing—to a new provider, Alhind Tours and Travels LLC. To facilitate this major operational shift, current providers BLS International and SGIVS Global will stop accepting new applications after the close of business on June 25. Consequently, the embassy has announced a temporary suspension of all regular consular appointments from June 26 through June 30.
Despite this brief pause in standard services, the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai remain committed to supporting the community. Emergency requests will be managed directly by the diplomatic missions, and citizens in urgent need of assistance are encouraged to reach out via the official toll-free number, WhatsApp, or dedicated email. Once the transition is complete, Alhind will manage operations across 16 new centers nationwide, aiming to streamline services for the UAE’s large Indian expatriate population with a new, simplified fee structure.
