Dubai’s Iconic Flag Garden Returns for 'National Month' Celebrations

Mon, Nov 2, 2026(1h ago)UAE

As Dubai gears up for its annual "National Month," the city’s beloved Flag Garden has returned to the Umm Suqeim beachfront, near the Burj Al Arab. Organized by Brand Dubai, this striking installation is a centerpiece of the festivities, which run from November 3 to December 2. While the exact theme and number of flags for this year’s display remain under wraps, the garden has evolved into a staple of local culture since its inception in 2014. By arranging thousands of flags to create massive, intricate designs visible from the sky, the installation serves as a powerful tribute to the nation’s history and leadership.

The month-long program is designed to bridge two significant dates: UAE Flag Day, which commemorates the anniversary of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s accession, and UAE National Day, which marks the country’s federation. Beyond the Flag Garden, the city will host a variety of events, including the UAE Parade and a short-film contest titled "Stories of Our Determination." This creative competition, spearheaded by the Dubai Films and Games Commission, invites residents to showcase the spirit of unity that defines the UAE, ensuring that citizens and visitors alike can participate in a month of patriotic pride and collective celebration.
