27-Year-Old Dubai Resident Wins Luxury Apartment in First-Ever 'Win Your Home' Draw

Mon, Jun 22, 2026(2h ago)UAE

Aysha Ameer, a 27-year-old Dubai resident originally from Kerala, India, has been named the first lucky recipient of a studio apartment in the inaugural "Win Your Home in Dubai" draw. The contest, a collaborative effort between the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) and Dubai Chambers, aims to reward shoppers across the city. Ameer, who entered the draw on a whim after her husband spotted promotional signage while they were out shopping, initially suspected the winning notification was a scam. She and her husband, who had been considering property investment but put their plans on hold due to regional uncertainty, were left stunned when the win was officially confirmed via email.

The ongoing promotion, which runs until August 30, invites shoppers to participate by spending at least Dh500 at any of the 4,000 participating outlets across 1,000 brands. Entrants simply need to scan a QR code and upload their receipts to be eligible for the weekly prize. As the exclusive real estate partner, Binghatti is set to give away a total of 12 apartments throughout the campaign. Mohammed Feras Arayqat of the DFRE emphasized that the initiative is designed to celebrate the community and showcase Dubai's resilience, encouraging residents to take advantage of the simple entry process for a chance to secure their own home in the city.
