UAE Swelters as Temperatures Climb Toward 45°C

Sun, Jul 19, 2026(12h ago)UAE

On Sunday, July 19, residents across the UAE should prepare for another warm day as temperatures continue to soar. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Abu Dhabi is expected to reach a scorching 45°C, while Dubai and Sharjah will see highs of 38°C and 43°C, respectively. While the skies will remain generally fair to partly cloudy, there is a possibility of convective cloud formations developing over the eastern and southern regions as the day progresses.

Conditions will remain humid, with levels varying significantly across the emirates, peaking at 80% in Dubai. Winds are forecast to be light to moderate, generally blowing from the southeast to the northeast at speeds between 10 and 25 kmph. However, these winds may pick up at times, potentially reaching 35 kmph and stirring up dust in certain areas. Despite the heat, sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, following a Saturday that saw a peak temperature of 46.9°C in Mezaira.
