In a move to strengthen family unity and social cohesion, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) has introduced a specialized service allowing citizens to secure construction loans for homes built on subdivided agricultural plots. Developed in collaboration with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, this initiative permits landowners to divide their property among sons or grandsons. Eligible applicants can access a loan of up to Dh1.75 million, supplemented by a Dh250,000 grant, with flexible repayment terms tailored to the recipient's monthly income.

This program, which aligns with the UAE’s “Year of Family” goals, is initially rolling out for agricultural lands in Al Rahbah, Al Bahyah, and Al Samhah. To qualify, properties must be free of legal encumbrances and meet specific infrastructure standards. By digitizing these services and simplifying the subdivision process, the government aims to provide a more efficient path to homeownership.
