UAE Weather Forecast: Temperatures to Reach 46°C Across Major Emirates
Residents in the UAE should prepare for fair to partly cloudy conditions this Sunday, August 2. While the morning is expected to be relatively pleasant, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicts that cloud cover will gradually build up over the eastern regions by the afternoon. Light to moderate winds, initially from the southeast, will shift to a northwesterly direction, occasionally picking up speeds of up to 35kmph. Sea conditions throughout the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are anticipated to remain calm.
This outlook follows a sweltering end to the week, as the country hit the 50°C mark for the first time this summer on Friday in Al Shawamekh, Abu Dhabi. For Sunday, thermometer readings in Dubai and Sharjah are expected to peak at 46°C, with lows settling around 31°C to 33°C. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi residents will experience a temperature range between 32°C and 47°C as the summer heat continues to persist across the nation.
