Abu Dhabi Authorities Shut Down 'So Great Restaurant' Over Health Violations

Mon, Aug 3, 2026(45d ago)UAE

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has issued an emergency administrative closure for 'So Great Restaurant' due to severe and recurring food safety infractions. According to officials, the establishment failed to adhere to the emirate’s food regulations, creating a direct risk to public health. Despite previous warnings, the restaurant reportedly neglected to implement necessary corrective actions, leaving authorities with no choice but to halt operations to ensure the safety of the community.

The closure will remain strictly in place until the restaurant successfully resolves all identified violations and meets the mandated safety standards required to resume business. ADAFSA emphasized that this action is a standard part of their rigorous inspection program, which aims to hold all food service providers in the capital to the highest safety protocols. In the meantime, residents are encouraged to stay vigilant and report any suspected food safety concerns or hygiene issues by dialing the Abu Dhabi government’s toll-free number at 800555.
