The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather advisory for Wednesday, August 5, noting that the UAE will see partly cloudy skies with a high probability of rainfall by the afternoon. These unsettled conditions are expected to hit the eastern and southern parts of the country particularly hard, with Al Ain and Fujairah likely to experience heavy downpours. The unstable weather is forecast to persist through Friday, August 7, as the current atmospheric pressure favors the development of convective clouds.

During this period, residents should prepare for light to moderate winds shifting from southeasterly to northwesterly, which may pick up speed and stir up dust across open areas. Wind speeds are expected to range from 10 to 25 km/h, occasionally gusting up to 40 km/h. Despite the rain, the heat remains intense, with national temperatures peaking between 29°C and 47°C. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are bracing for highs of 47°C and 45°C respectively, while maritime conditions are expected to remain calm across both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
