Talabat Upgrades 2026 Financial Outlook Following Strong Q2 Growth
Talabat has officially lifted its financial targets for 2026 after reporting a robust second quarter, with revenue climbing 16% year-on-year to $1.14 billion. This performance, driven by a surge in its grocery segment and an expanding customer base, pushed the company to raise its full-year guidance across key metrics, including gross merchandise value (GMV), net income, and free cash flow. The company now anticipates revenue growth of 16% to 18%, signaling strong confidence despite a temporary dip in quarterly profits caused by aggressive reinvestment into its "everyday app" ecosystem and service expansions like Talabat Mart.
While profitability took a minor hit this quarter due to $120 million in strategic investments aimed at strengthening its delivery network and subscription services, the underlying business growth remains impressive. Notably, the company’s operations outside the GCC—specifically in Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq—saw a massive 41% jump in GMV, reflecting a successful diversification strategy. With a healthy rider network and growing subscription adoption through Talabat Pro, the firm continues to prioritize long-term expansion while maintaining its commitment to shareholders, including an ongoing share buyback program and an interim dividend scheduled for the fall.
