UAE Pays Tribute to Two Servicemen Following Fatal Training Accident
The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence announced a somber loss this week after two servicemen, Major Abdalla Shamis Almenhali and candidate Saeed Abdalla Alshamsi, lost their lives during a routine training exercise within the country. In an official statement, the ministry extended its deepest sympathies to the grieving families, praying for their strength during this challenging period. A military funeral ceremony was held at Zayed Military Hospital, attended by high-ranking officials and the families of the deceased, with final prayers scheduled to take place at Al-Mu'tarid Al-Kabir Mosque in Al Ain.
This incident marks the second time this year that the UAE has lost personnel during domestic training operations. Back in June, the ministry reported the death of First Corporal Issa Ghaloum Al Baloushi, who also passed away while fulfilling his training duties. While the authorities have not released specific details regarding the circumstances of these accidents, these recent events serve as a poignant reminder of the risks faced by those serving in the armed forces. The nation continues to stand with the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
