UAE Invites Saudi Crown Prince to UN Water Conference 2026
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has officially extended an invitation to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The invitation requests the Crown Prince's presence at the upcoming UN Water Conference 2026, which is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10. The UAE is set to co-host this global event alongside the Republic of Senegal.
The formal message was delivered to Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji, by the UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom, Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, during an official meeting in Riyadh. Should the Crown Prince accept, it would mark his first visit to the UAE since his private trip in December 2024, when he was warmly welcomed by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. That previous visit underscored the enduring and fraternal bond shared between the two nations, highlighted by high-level discussions and a state dinner in Al Ain.
