Miral Announces Dh12 Billion Expansion Plan for Yas Island
In a major move to solidify Yas Island’s reputation as a premier international leisure hub, Abu Dhabi’s Miral has unveiled an ambitious investment plan exceeding Dh12 billion over the next five years. Revealed during the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, this capital injection is set to enhance the island’s infrastructure, introduce state-of-the-art attractions, and significantly expand its hospitality capacity. This strategic roadmap aligns directly with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, reinforcing the emirate's broader economic goals and commitment to sustainable growth.
The upcoming phase of development builds on the island's already impressive portfolio, including the recently announced Harry Potter-themed lands at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, which are slated for completion by 2029. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Miral, emphasized that this investment is about creating long-term value for residents and global tourists alike. By continuously evolving its offerings and prioritizing immersive, world-class experiences, Miral aims to ensure that Yas Island remains a highly competitive and vibrant destination that contributes meaningfully to the UAE’s economic diversification and job creation efforts.
