The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced that Class 12 students in the UAE and six other Middle Eastern nations will have a chance to retake exams for subjects that were previously cancelled. Earlier this year, due to regional instability, the board had implemented a special assessment scheme to declare results for students in the UAE, Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Under this new directive, both regular and private candidates who had their results calculated via that assessment method can now opt to sit for these exams across 40 different subjects.

To participate, students must submit their applications through the official CBSE website between September 22 and September 26, 2026. The board has clarified that there will be no examination fee, and once taken, these new marks will officially replace the previous assessment-based grades. It is important to note that this opportunity is strictly limited to students who were part of the original 2026 Main Examination list; those who were absent during the initial period or new candidates are not eligible. The board will release a detailed date sheet following the submission period, and students are encouraged to coordinate closely with their respective schools to meet the strictly enforced deadline.
