Emirates Loves Syria Day: A Cultural Celebration at Zabeel Park
This Saturday, Dubai’s Zabeel Park will transform into a vibrant hub of culture as it hosts the second edition of "Emirates Loves Syria." This event serves as a grand showcase of Syrian heritage, featuring a star-studded performance by renowned singer Assala Nasri and a variety of entertainment that highlights the strong bond between the UAE and the Syrian community. Beyond the music, the festival will celebrate the achievements of notable Syrians residing in the Emirates, honoring their significant contributions to fields like media, healthcare, and the arts during a special recognition ceremony.
Attendees can look forward to a sensory journey through Syria, with over 40 kiosks offering authentic culinary delights and 30 stalls dedicated to traditional crafts from homegrown Syrian businesses. The park will also feature an immersive outdoor exhibition, where visitors can walk among artistic recreations of iconic structures like the Palmyra Arc of Triumph and Aleppo’s Bab Al Faraj Clock Tower. Adding a touch of sentimentality, a unique "Mailbox from Syria" installation will allow guests to engage with heartfelt letters from home, rounding out a day designed to foster community spirit and shared cultural appreciation.
