Al Ain’s Public Parks Get a Fresh Look with New Recreational Facilities
Al Ain City Municipality has officially unveiled three newly renovated public parks, covering a combined area of over 141,000 square metres. Reopened in celebration of Flag Day, the Al Maqam, Falaj Hazza, and Al Mureijeb parks have been upgraded to provide residents with modern amenities, including advanced sports courts and improved family leisure zones. These projects are part of a larger ongoing initiative to enhance community green spaces throughout the city, following recent improvements to other popular spots like Al Towayya and Al Sarooj.
Each park offers a unique experience tailored to its local neighborhood. Al Maqam, the largest of the trio, now features padel courts, a skate track, and extensive fitness areas, while Falaj Hazza incorporates local history with a unique walking trail inspired by traditional irrigation systems. Meanwhile, Al Mureijeb stands out with its heritage-focused design, featuring historic fort architecture and dedicated swimming pools. These upgrades contribute to Al Ain’s expansive network of 279 parks, further cementing the city’s commitment to providing high-quality outdoor spaces for its residents.
