CBSE Schools in the UAE Reassure Students Amid Evaluation Concerns

Tue, Jun 2, 2026(45d ago)World

Principals at CBSE-affiliated schools across the UAE are working to calm nerves among students and parents following reports of potential vulnerabilities in the board’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. Amidst concerns regarding the security of examination data and the integrity of the evaluation process, educators emphasize that the Central Board of Secondary Education has taken prompt, corrective action. School leaders have clarified that the board is investigating the technical issues while maintaining its commitment to a rigorous and transparent verification process, allowing students who sought re-evaluation to review their answer sheets and address any discrepancies directly.

In response to the situation, UAE educators are stressing that the board’s core assessment framework remains secure and reliable. Principals point out that the recent rise in re-evaluation requests may be partly attributed to the introduction of more complex, competency-based questions rather than widespread system failure. With the implementation of enhanced security protocols, updated training for evaluators, and clearer communication from the board, schools remain confident that the system is functioning properly. They encourage students to stay focused on their academic goals, noting that the board's proactive transparency and commitment to quality assurance continue to uphold the fairness of the overall grading process.
