IndiGo Faces Second Digital Outage in One Week

Fri, Aug 21, 2026(3h ago)World

India’s leading airline, IndiGo, is once again grappling with significant technical failures as users reported being unable to book flights on Friday. The airline’s website displayed a persistent "no data available" error, while many travelers faced similar roadblocks when attempting to log into the mobile application. This latest disruption marks the second time this week that the carrier’s digital infrastructure has faltered, following a similar incident on Wednesday where the airline acknowledged intermittent problems with its core reservation system.

Despite holding a dominant 67% share of the domestic aviation market, the carrier has yet to provide a clear explanation or official comment regarding the root cause of these outages. Frustrated customers have flooded the airline’s social media channels with complaints ranging from failed payment confirmations to issues with web check-ins. This string of technical malfunctions puts further pressure on IndiGo, which has already faced heavy scrutiny in the past, most notably last December when poor scheduling led to mass flight cancellations and widespread travel chaos across the country.
