Two Injured in Southern Saudi Arabia Following Houthi Projectile Attack

Sun, Sep 13, 2026(1h ago)World

Saudi authorities recently reported that two individuals sustained injuries after a projectile launched by Houthi militants struck the Al-Tuwal Governorate in the Jazan region. The attack, which occurred along the kingdom’s southern border with Yemen, also caused visible destruction to local infrastructure, including damage to a nearby mosque, several residential buildings, and parked vehicles. Emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and conduct safety protocols following the strike.

The incident took place shortly after the Saudi government had issued formal warnings regarding the potential for renewed cross-border hostilities. In an official statement, a spokesperson for the Civil Defence condemned the strike, emphasizing that the deliberate targeting of civilian areas is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. Authorities are continuing to monitor the border region closely as they conclude their investigation and assessment of the damage.
