"Donald Trump" Buffalo Earns Reprieve from Eid Sacrifice
A rare 1,500-pound albino buffalo, which captured hearts across Bangladesh for its distinctive blond hair, has been saved from being slaughtered for the Eid al-Adha holiday. The massive bull, humorously nicknamed "Donald Trump" by its former owner due to its flowing, helmet-like locks, became an unlikely social media sensation. Crowds of curious onlookers and children frequently gathered just to catch a glimpse of the animal, turning the creature into a local celebrity ahead of the festival.
Recognizing the buffalo's unique appeal, the Bangladeshi government intervened just hours before it was slated for sacrifice, ordering that the animal be relocated to the national zoo. National Zoo curator Atiqur Rahman confirmed that the buffalo is now settling into its new home, where it will undergo a brief quarantine before being placed under the care of a dedicated keeper. While millions of livestock are traditionally sacrificed during the feast, officials determined that this rare albino specimen was too significant to be lost, ensuring it will instead be preserved for the public to enjoy for years to come.
