Security Alert: Three Inmates Escape Kuwaiti Correctional Facilities

Mon, Jun 1, 2026(45d ago)World

Kuwaiti authorities are currently on high alert following the escape of three inmates from the country's correctional institutions. On Monday, June 1, the Ministry of Interior officially confirmed the breach and identified the fugitives as Kuwaiti nationals Hassan Salem Al-Rashidi and Ali Manahi Al-Subaie, alongside a non-Kuwaiti individual named Ahmed Mohammed Qata. In response, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, has ordered an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the escape while simultaneously alerting all border control points to prevent the trio from exiting the country.

The Ministry of Interior has mobilized the General Department of Criminal Investigation and various security sectors to track down the escapees as quickly as possible. Officials are urging the public to exercise extreme caution and to refrain from any interaction with the fugitives. Citizens and residents are encouraged to report any relevant sightings or information to emergency services at 112. Furthermore, the ministry issued a stern warning, noting that any individuals found providing shelter or assistance to these escapees will face severe legal consequences.
