Tue, Aug 4, 2026(45d ago)Business

Orient Insurance, a prominent subsidiary of the Al-Futtaim Group, has announced a strong financial performance for the first half of 2026. The company reported a net profit of Dh545 million, marking an 8 per cent rise from the Dh503 million recorded during the same period last year. This upward trend was supported by a 17 per cent jump in revenue, which climbed to Dh5.22 billion. Furthermore, the insurer strengthened its financial foundation, with total equity growing to Dh6.19 billion and total assets surging by 18 per cent to reach Dh20.02 billion.

Underpinning this success is the company’s ongoing focus on digital transformation and operational efficiency. President Omer Elamin emphasized that these investments in technology are central to navigating the shifting insurance landscape while ensuring sustainable value for shareholders. With a history dating back to 1982, Orient Insurance continues to build on its reputation as a market leader in the UAE and the GCC, setting new growth benchmarks through a disciplined strategy that balances technological integration with robust commercial performance.
