UAE Treasury Sukuk and Bonds Attract Dh4.54 Billion in Latest Auction
The UAE Ministry of Finance, working alongside the Central Bank, recently concluded a highly successful auction for its dirham-denominated Treasury Sukuk and bonds, raising a total of Dh1.1 billion. The event saw remarkable interest from primary dealers, drawing total bids of Dh4.54 billion. This significant oversubscription—reaching 4.1 times the initial offering—highlights the strong appetite among investors for UAE debt instruments and underscores continued confidence in the nation’s robust Islamic finance framework and overall creditworthiness.
The auction featured competitive market pricing, with the October 2029 T-Sukuk reaching a yield to maturity of 4.95 percent, while the January 2031 T-Bond tranche hit 5.05 percent. By listing these instruments on Nasdaq Dubai, the government is ensuring better liquidity and secondary market accessibility for participants. Ultimately, these issuance programs are vital to building a stable dirham-denominated yield curve, strengthening the local capital market, and providing a reliable foundation for the UAE’s long-term economic growth.
