UAE Boosts Domestic Tourism with Expanded Benefits and Perks
The UAE’s Emirates Tourism Council is rolling out new initiatives to make staycations more appealing, focusing on integrating popular resident benefit programs with national tourism efforts. Under the leadership of Economy Minister Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, the council is working to broaden the reach of the ‘Jaywan’ card while creating collaborative packages alongside established discount schemes like Esaad, Fazaa, and Saada. These partnerships are designed to provide residents with a wider variety of affordable, high-quality experiences, ultimately encouraging them to explore more of the country and increase their local spending.
Beyond resident-focused incentives, the Council is prioritizing the growth of the “Visit UAE” digital platform, which serves as a central hub for all national tourism information. This effort aligns with the UAE’s ambitious National Tourism Strategy 2031, which aims to boost the sector's GDP contribution to Dh450 billion. By strengthening coordination between federal authorities and the private sector, officials hope to offer more integrated, long-stay tourism products that attract visitors to multiple destinations across the emirates, further cementing the UAE's position as a premier global and regional travel hub.
