Etihad Airways to Unveil Revamped Heathrow Lounge in 2027
Etihad Airways has officially announced that its popular lounge at London Heathrow Airport is set to reopen in the summer of 2027 following an extensive renovation. This project marks a significant milestone for the Abu Dhabi-based carrier, as it will be the first location to debut the airline’s new "Beyond Borders" design philosophy. By bridging the gap between the ground experience and the aircraft cabin, the airline aims to create a cohesive aesthetic that reflects its evolving brand identity.
Drawing inspiration from the natural dunes and modern architectural landscape of Abu Dhabi, the new lounge will feature a sophisticated blend of textures, ambient lighting, and high-end materials. This initiative is a core component of Etihad's ambitious $20 billion investment strategy, which focuses on modernizing its fleet and elevating customer service standards across its global network. Once complete, the revamped Heathrow space will offer dedicated zones for Business and First-class passengers, as well as exclusive private suites for travelers staying in The Residence, serving as a blueprint for future lounge upgrades worldwide.
