Fitch Ratings Affirms ADQ’s ‘AA’ Rating Following Strong 2025 Financial Performance
Fitch Ratings has maintained Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company’s (ADQ) long-term credit rating at ‘AA’ with a stable outlook, a decision underscored by a remarkable 66 percent surge in net profit to Dh43 billion in 2025. This growth was driven by robust operating earnings and a 16 percent increase in consolidated revenue, which climbed to Dh148.2 billion. As the company’s total assets edge closer to the Dh1 trillion milestone, transport and logistics have emerged as its primary revenue drivers, highlighting the firm's evolving influence across Abu Dhabi's critical economic sectors.
The rating agency emphasized that ADQ’s stable outlook is deeply tied to its vital role as a strategic government vehicle, with Fitch viewing state support as “virtually certain.” This institutional backing is further reinforced by a recent corporate reorganization that consolidated ADQ’s assets with L’IMAD Holding Company, a move chaired by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. With a strong presence in international debt markets and a diversified funding strategy, including a successful $5 billion syndicated facility, ADQ remains uniquely positioned to support Abu Dhabi's long-term economic priorities while maintaining close financial and operational alignment with the state.
