Flydubai Suspends Operations to Select Saudi Cities Amid Regional Tensions

Fri, Oct 30, 2026(1h ago)Business

Due to the heightened security risks posed by ongoing Houthi attacks, Flydubai has officially suspended all flights to Riyadh, Dammam, and Abha. The airline confirmed that these cancellations will remain in effect through November 1 as a precautionary measure. This decision follows a series of recent incidents where ballistic and cruise missiles were intercepted over Saudi territory, causing debris to damage residential property and resulting in injuries.

The carrier emphasized that it is keeping a close eye on the volatile situation and will communicate any further schedule adjustments directly to its passengers. In the meantime, travelers are encouraged to verify their flight status and ensure their contact information is current to receive timely notifications. While these specific routes are impacted, Flydubai continues to maintain its regular flight schedule to other Saudi Arabian destinations, including Jeddah, Taif, Tabuk, Madina, Al-Qassim, and Ha’il.
