UAE Launches Second Sovereign Retail T-Sukuk Issuance with Five-Year Term
Following the overwhelming success of its debut offering, the UAE Ministry of Finance has unveiled a second issuance under the Sovereign Retail T-Sukuk Programme. This new series introduces a five-year tenor, designed to encourage long-term savings and bolster financial inclusion for both citizens and residents. Backed fully by the government, these Shariah-compliant instruments are highly accessible, with a minimum subscription entry point of just Dh1,000. The initiative is a cornerstone of the UAE’s broader financial vision, aligning with the goals of the Year of Family 2026 by providing secure, reliable investment options that help families plan for a stable future.
To ensure a smooth experience, the Ministry is working closely with the Dubai Financial Market, Nasdaq Dubai, and several major local banks to offer a seamless digital subscription process via platforms like the DFM app and various e-banking portals. This move builds on the impressive performance of the inaugural issuance, which saw subscriptions soar nine times higher than the original target, drawing in a diverse group of young investors and women. As the Ministry continues to refine its domestic capital markets, this second tranche represents a significant effort to foster a culture of investment and strengthen the UAE's standing as a premier global hub for Islamic finance.
